The school organizes safety training for the use of special equipment in driving operations
In order to strengthen the safety awareness of special equipment operators and improve the safety management level of lifting machinery, on November 29th, the Environmental Safety and Health Department (EHS) of the school and the Quality and Safety Department of the Large Science Device Management Center of the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly carried out the 2023 train operation safety training. More than 40 personnel, including operators and relevant managers of lifting machinery for hard and soft wire projects, as well as teachers and students from the Graduate School, School of Materials Science, School of Information Science, Science Center, and CUE Laboratory, participated in this training. Wang Dongming, Director of the Environmental Safety and Health Department, and Li Xinsheng, Deputy Director of the Quality and Safety Department of the Big Science Facility Management Center, attended the event.
The training invited Ding Yuliang, an engineer and training lecturer from the Francotec Group, to give a lecture, combining theory with practice. The theoretical content includes basic knowledge of driving, safety precautions for operation, and regular maintenance requirements. In addition, accident analysis is conducted based on driving operation accident cases to improve awareness and ability to prevent accidents. The head of EHS training and special equipment business at the school, Jin Jin, introduced relevant laws and regulations as well as school management requirements. Lin Junqi, from the Quality and Safety Department of the Big Science Device Management Center, organized teachers and students to take a theoretical exam and review and issue certificates.
After explaining the usage of the remote control, the skills of using the hook, and safety control techniques, the on-site driving practical training deepened the understanding of driving operation skills and hook safety control methods by using the remote control in sequence.
This training has strengthened the safety awareness of operators in lifting machinery, further improved their safety skills in driving, and provided a foundation for the safety management of lifting machinery in school research projects.
