It houses over 70 advanced micro/nano processing and testing equipment, providing comprehensive experimental testing conditions for the entire chain of micro/nano devices. It also boasts a complete research and development line for 4-inch and smaller wafers, as well as a 4-6-inch manufacturing experimental line for III-V semiconductors, superconducting, and MEMS devices. The center is equipped with a GMS central gas monitoring system, facial recognition system, and implements 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring (with surveillance cameras and regular inspections by the facility management team).
05 - Center for Ultimate Energy / CUE
The Center for Ultimate Energy (CUE) at ShanghaiTech University was established in 2020, primarily focusing on research into key scientific issues related to magnetically inertial confinement fusion energy systems. Currently, it has established a plasma gun research and development laboratory and a plasma target research and development laboratory. The laboratory consistently implements the principle of safety first, prevention-oriented, and comprehensive management, striving to minimize hazards, abide by regulations, produce results, and create outstanding achievements.
EHS Management Award - Platforms
01 Chemistry Experimental Teaching Center / School of Materials Science and Engineering
The Chemistry Experimental Teaching Center of the School of Materials Science and Engineering offers general chemistry courses for undergraduate students across the university. It also provides specialized chemistry courses and advanced undergraduate-graduate integrated courses for students from the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the School of Life Science and Technology. Additionally, it leads students to participate in various chemical experiment competitions.
The entire teaching staff of the center values safety and adheres to the principle of safety first, prevention foremost. They manage risks from the source, strictly implement effective safety regulations, and conduct safety management from multiple dimensions, including personnel, materials, and the environment. In 2023, it applied for the University Security and Safety Management Demonstration Site in Shanghai.
02 Soft Matter Micro/Nano Processing Laboratory / School of Materials Science and Engineering
The Soft Matter Micro/Nano Processing Laboratory is a small-scale, high-level, and innovative micro/nano processing platform.
