On January 30, 2024, our school conducted the first expert demonstration meeting on risk assessment of experimental projects, organizing experts to review and demonstrate the risk assessment of five high-risk experimental projects declared by the institutes. These high-risk projects came from the School of Life Science and Technology, the Center for Big Science and the School of Physical Science and Engineering. The demonstration meeting was conducted in the form of project applicants' reporting, expert reviews, and resolution formation. The participating experts put forward valuable suggestions for improvement on the risk prevention and control of each project. The demonstration meeting achieved complete success.
This is the first offline expert demonstration meeting held since the implementation of the experimental project risk assessment system in our university. The EHS department will gradually explore a mature management mechanism based on the experience of this meeting and will subsequently organize multiple project risk assessment demonstration meetings in succession.
