To further strengthen the campus safety, on May 23, the expert group of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission came to the university to carry out a comprehensive inspection on campus safety. Staff of the Office of General Services and Environmental, Health and Safety, and Shangqin Property Management Center attended the meeting and participated in discussions and inspections.
The Office of General Services and the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) respectively reported the comprehensive work of public facilities and laboratory safety of ShanghaiTech University. The inspection team conducted on-site inspections of public building spaces such as laboratories, fire training rooms, canteens and dormitories, and safety management in laboratories. Based on review of documents and walk-through inspection, the inspection team affirmed the safety management of the university, and proposed a few rectification opinions and suggestions for the issues and concerns found during the inspection.
