1. Pressure vessels refer to closed devices that contain gas or liquid and bear a certain pressure. Their scope is specified as fixed and mobile containers with a highest working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure) for gases, liquefied gases, and liquids with a highest working temperature higher than or equal to the standard boiling point and a volume greater than or equal to 30L and an inner diameter (for non-circular sections, the maximum geometric size of the inner boundary of the section) greater than or equal to 150mm; gas cylinders with a nominal working pressure greater than or equal to 0.2 MPa (gauge pressure) and a product of pressure and volume greater than or equal to 1.0 MPa•L for gases, liquefied gases, and liquids with a standard boiling point equal to or less than 60℃; oxygen tanks. - Catalogue of Special Equipment.
2. Purchase of special equipment (pressure vessels):
1) Relevant departments obtain relevant special equipment operation certificates (certificate-bearing operation) according to the requirements of pressure vessels to be purchased;
2) Carry out equipment procurement according to the equipment procurement process of the school;
3) The using department needs to file the special equipment with the Pudong New District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau (No.2 Hehuan Road);
4) The using department reports the special equipment filing situation and operator certificate to the EHS office.
3. Use of special equipment (pressure vessels):
1) Personnel using special devices must obtain corresponding special equipment operation certificates and operate with the certificate;
2) The using department needs to regularly conduct relevant inspections on special equipment (annual inspection of the machine, inspection of accessories such as pressure gauges and pressure valves), and keep records.
4. Discontinuation and reuse of special equipment (pressure vessels):
1) If the using department discontinues the use of the equipment for a long period (one year or more), it needs to file a special equipment discontinuation record with the Pudong New District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau (No.2 Hehuan Road);
2) If special equipment that has been filed as discontinued needs to be reused, the using department also needs to file a special equipment reuse record with the Pudong New District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau (No.2 Hehuan Road).
