Dear All,
According to the latest weather forecast, Shanghai’s temperature will drop significantly from December 25, 2021. A cold wave is coming, reported from the Municipal Meteorological Bureau. All research groups and laboratories need to be on the alert for strong cold air.
1. Take precautions against the cold air and maintain warm condition to ensure the safety of laboratory personnel and laboratory animals;
2. Before leaving the laboratory, shut the doors, windows, and shut down water and electricity supply and other facilities;
3. Inspect laboratory air-conditioning and other public facilities for potential risks to prevent freezing and cracking in the cold wave from affecting the use of the equipment;
4. Perform maintenance of the experimental equipment in advance to avoid equipment failure caused by the impact of the cold wave;
5. Familiar with the laboratory emergency plans;
6. In case of emergencies, please report to your school and to the EHS office in time.
