On the morning of September 2, 2021, the Department of Environmental Safety and Health conducted a special safety inspection before the start of the new semester of the 2021-2022 school year on the undergraduate teaching laboratories of the School of Material Science, School of Life, School of Information, and School of Creative Arts. According to the arrangement of the teaching plan, the laboratories are fully prepared with experimental equipment, personal protective equipment, emergency supplies, and epidemic prevention materials. The laboratories are hygienic and tidy, and the laboratory rules and regulations are on the wall as required, and they have the conditions to start courses.

During the inspection, some existing problems were also found:
Some dangerous equipment lacks safety warning signs.
Some laboratories lack regular checklists for fire fighting equipment, fire extinguishers are about to
expire, and fire blankets are not hung on the wall.
Safety education is arranged in the first session of the experimental class, and there is a requirement to sign a safety commitment letter, but most laboratories lack examination links.
After the special inspection, each teaching laboratory is required to learn from the above feedback to further improve the safety work, and the rectification results will be fed back to the Environmental Safety and Health Department in a timely manner.
